Late night idea I should really workshop when I’m not so brainrotted
Beloved purchased eight pairs of pants [shorts, trousers, slacks, jeans, IDEK] and only three of these can be readily located now.
Me: [Jokingly] There’s a gremlin in this house eating pants.
Me: [Thinks] hey that’s like the hippopotamus on the house eating cake…
Me: That’d probably make a great kid’s story about all the rando stuff that goes missing. Of course it culminates with moving the bed and finding all the stuff underneath and the kid’s like, “See? I told you the monster did it.”
Me: Fuck, now I wanna draw it. What did you DO TO ME?
Beloved: I don’t know…
So I shall probably float this by some people when I have a more rational and allegedly operable brain.
Random Australia Fact
Some of our sharks are venomous.
They are indistinguishable from the non-venomous sharks.
Okay. Is this a good idea?
I’m getting tired of waiting for volunteers to beta-read for my pre-published fics. Plus my fics are… kinda growing in number.
So. Here’s the deal.
I put them up here, on my blog, under a read-more. There will be a brief summary of all that is within above the cut. Including trigger-warnings.
I will also enable replies to said ficpost.
If the people who like it overwhelm the people who hate it, I shall publish that sucker on A03. If three peeps complain about the same general thing, I shall repair it before reposting.
Each draft will be deleted after four days. So nobody gets confused.
Will this work for everyone?
Random Australia Fact
Drop Bears are real.
However, they only exist in a relatively small patch of scrub (roughly the size of Virginia) just south of Tullagawupwup.
The Nunga tribe worship them as sacred spirit animals and, weirdly, are the only people who can approach them without fear of injury or death. Naturally, most Nunga tribespeople find themselves recruited into the field of Drop Bear Research by the CSIRO.

At least one of the six Peters was practically raised by the bots, and took some significant time to realize that not every family has robots in it.
