quick self-reblog because I’m still proud of this one, with the obligatory addendum: this is not an exercise in casting Hamilton with ATLA characters, but rather an exercise in twisting the meaning of the song to fit ATLA.  Zuko may be impatient, but he’s also tenacious in the extreme; think of “waiting for it” in this context as “hanging in there until it pays off”.
