More details! I decided to make the read-out screens more glowy, which means a lot of careful erasing in my future.
The “vacant’ signs are going to stay dark though.
More colouring! Still deciding what to do with the instruments and the read-out panels. I might grunge up what’s there if I can’t decide.
The downside of being detail oriented is that you spend all your time on one set of details.
I only had time for Rabbit, today.
More colouring!
It doesn’t look like much, but I did all the reds. Details like Hatchy’s hatch and all the robots’ faces should happen next.
Colouring! Yay! This scene happens at night, so I’m using a lot of blues and purples for the most part. I’ll be adding detail because this _is_ a background.
I’ll dirty up the walls and add some textures and so on, this is just the main colours.
It’ll look better later, I promise.
Colour test for the other two. Not nearly as detailed as the ones I did for Rabbit. They’re only on screen for a few shots anyway, so less need to stress.
The inking is DONE!
Having spent this much time and effort on this, I want to colour the entire thing. But that’s an activity for another day. I’m calling this as “frame one done”.
And yes, my detail-loving arse did trace every single piano black piano key. Just wait until I start animating this shit.
Inking some more! I fixed the perspective issues with the piano and started working on those gorgeous robots.
Leaving Hatchworth for next time, as he is a pain to draw.
