Daily OpusEverything I write is freely rebloggable. Just keep the source and tell people about my books :D [Until I decide otherwise, my pronouns are Ze/Hir/Hirself. As in "Ze went to the shops to get hir medication hirself". Thank you for the respect.]
Y’know I reblogged this a bit ago and was saved from financial probation and getting kicked out of school because of it, just mere months from graduation. Got a call from the financial aid advisor telling me that they made a mistake with filing my account (or some other sort of clerical error) and said that, basically, they owe me money. Welp.
Last time I reblogged the money cat, I won two $100 gift cards at work.
autistic pride is so important because autistic children like myself are constantly treated as and made to feel like burdens to their loved ones, their family, and even society as a whole.
we literally get people saying things like “if i was autistic, i would kill myself” and caretakers who get sympathy for wanting to kill autistic kids. people will justify our existence only by how productive we are and how neurotypical we can appear. when parents find out their kid is autistic, it should not be immediately followed by an apology.
like, no, being autistic is not always fun or easy to deal with, but you can’t separate me from my autism, and i can’t keep feeling like i’m some kind of unfortunate happenstance.
autistic pride is important. i am not a burden. and if that means i’m ‘romanticizing autism’ or ‘glorifying it’, so be it.
I need to show [Person] how to repair things properly. Their first instinct is still to reach for a roll of [duct tape]. I just hope I’m not too late. Power corrupts, but the power of duct tape corrupts absolutely.
“Trigellis is a Spark. And Sparks should never be raised in the Holy order of JOATs. Things go… very wrong.”
“For
example,” Pletherly drew the curtains to reveal a contained lab. Where a
Spark, presumably Trigellis, was busy piloting a machine apparently
made of duct tape and paperclips… and nothing else.
“Yes. I’m
going to try and show him the advantages of gears and pistons… but he
may be too far gone.” Aukney produced the one key to the lab. “Do
prepare the -ah- advanced C-gas?”
