I asked Beloved for inspiration, and they did not disappoint. so of course I drew Bunny facing her alter-ego, Rabbit.

i know bunny likes it better than the copper and i imagine it’s a lot less hassle for her to go thru especially if it helps get thru a show without all the makeup melting off in 20 minutes that took 2 hours to do.
but it don’t scream “robot”
maybe that’s the point
maybe she’s trying to be a creepy demon possessed porcelain babydoll from the 1800s for halloween lol
Not only that… but like it’s more mime than robot, and wasn’t the Spine’s makeup based on mimes originally anyway? Their faces look WAAAY too similar now, at least from afar. I miss having that tri-metal dynamic :/
It’s… well, complicated, for me. I miss the copper, it’s something that was Rabbit, above any other change. The return of the old top hat and goggles has been awesome but I really like the color effect of that copper with patina. And the effect on Bunny’s eyes was stunning.
But I can’t just say I hate the white… I think the mime thing is very cool too, it’s pale and Addams and Burton and spooky and well… Bunny. I do have a problem with the background colors on yesterday’s video. They were too loud and brighter than the foreground character, or at least provided too much distraction. If they had lowered the saturation some I think it might have done the job, though, made it look a little more old and weathered. That suits these rusty old robuts anyhow.
Remember the ancient adage from long-time fanmily:
“If you don’t like how Rabbit looks… Wait five minutes.”
We all know that Izzy is creative, artistic, and possibly easily bored. White Rabbit will be yet another face in a very long line of Rabbits faces that people will complain about when she changes it again.
