trans people who are also asexual are 25% more likely to have attempted suicide than hetero trans people

carryonmygaywardchild:

autismserenity:

lesbian, gay, and bi trans people are all 10% more likely to have attempted suicide than hetero trans people.

trans people are also two to four times more likely to identify as ace than the general population is.

source: the national transgender discrimination survey, data released in march 2016

what’s especially interesting to me is that it also shows that lesbian, gay, bi, AND hetero trans people are all about equally likely – all else being equal – to have been homeless at some point. And about equally likely to have been evicted for being trans.

But ace trans people are 50% more likely to have been homeless. And about 33% more likely to have been evicted for being trans.

(Interestingly, they’re also more likely than other LGBQ respondents to now own a home. This is probably only because the ace respondents, overall, were on the older side, though. Like, I know a fair number of queer people who have been homeless at some point, who now own or have owned homes, and if they’d been surveyed five or ten years ago they would only have shown up as having been homeless.)

I went through the article and this is all true. They’re also more likely than other trans respondents surveyed to be refused medical care by a doctor, harassed at work, turned down/fired from a job, or physically assaulted at school (sometimes even resulting in them having to change schools) because of transphobia

  • Requires nothing but your body
  • Includes attack

Very useful to know, pass and share please.

Worth watching

I don’t mean to impose a personal favour on you guys, but I really would like to ask that everyone who follows me reblog this.

I don’t think I made it very clear but last month I was sexually assaulted by someone who I thought was my friend (I don’t want to talk about it don’t ask), and it’s… really fucked with my head.

Had I known this a month ago I would have been able to get away

So, essentially, I’m really pleading with you to reblog this so everyone who follows you doesn’t get stuck in the same position I was with no way out.

I mean again I don’t want the point of this to be my sob story or whatever but if you could reblog this it would seriously mean a lot

and im asking to all of my followers who see this post in your dashboard to please press play to this video, you never know when this is gonna be useful, PLEASE DON’T IGNORE IT.

This is one of the first moves I was taught in Krav Maga, and it is one of the most effective.

It took me about a half hour to get down with practice, but once you get it, it’s an intuitive movement.

Please pass this along, it will save lives.

EVERYONE AND ANYONE WHO SEES THIS POST: PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO WATCH THIS!!! THIS COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE!

Condiments and Sauces

  • Ketchup (choose low, or no sugar added)

Sweeteners

  • Stevia. One of the most common sugar substitutions used on the market today. Incredibly sweet with no glycemic impact. The liquid form is preferred.
  • Sucralose. A very easy, but very sweet substitution to sugar that has a lot of misinformation around it. Many people confuse this with Splenda, but sucralose is the pure sweetener. Liquid versions are preferred.
  • Erythritol. This is a great sugar substitution that has 0 glycemic impact. It’s special because it passes through our bodies undigested, and is excreted without absorbing the carbs.
  • Monk fruit. This is a less common sweetener and usually used in combination with others. While somewhat rare, if you can find it, it makes a great balanced sweetener.
  • Various blends. There are numerous brands on the market that combine these sweeteners in their ratios. Be careful and read the ingredients.

Y’all need to be very careful about the sausages. Lots of the cheaper ones use bread or other carbs as filler to stretch out the meat.

Rape has become endemic in South Africa, so a medical technician named Sonette Ehlers developed a product that immediately gathered national attention there. Ehlers had never forgotten a rape victim telling her forlornly, “If only I had teeth down there.

Some time afterward, a man came into the hospital where Ehlers works in excruciating pain because his penis was stuck in his pants zipper.

Ehlers merged those images and came up with a product she called Rapex. It resembles a tube, with barbs inside. The woman inserts it like a tampon, with an applicator, and any man who tries to rape the woman impales himself on the barbs and must go to an emergency room to have the Rapex removed.

When critics complained that it was a medieval punishment, Ehlers replied tersely, “A medieval device for a medieval deed.”

A medieval device for a medieval deed - yes.

This is perfect

BLESS THIS PERSON

I BOW TO THIS INTENTION

Can we talk about how beautifully this turns rape culture on its head? Instead of “If they weren’t dressed like that they wouldn’t have been raped” THIS IS LITERALLY “IF THEY HADN’T TRIED TO RAPE SOMEONE THEY  WOULDN’T HAVE SPIKES IN THEIR DICK”*

That bold bit~
