Hypothesis: Anyone who was a “pleasure to have in class” also had anxiety disorder back then.
The kids in question were too nervous to be a disruption and too prone to overthinking everything before they did it, and therefore was less likely to contribute to disruptive behaviour.
The eagerness to please authority figures could also be symptomatic, too. It could be contributory as well since being a “suck-up to teacher” is a contributory factor towards bullying.
I’m not up on my psych stuff so I leave it to the neuroanalysis section of Tumblr’s science side to contribute.
