So of course I drew Sara as an anthro chameleon, because teh lolz
But you also get a loose idea of what I always pictured the “Free the Thylacine” T-shirts looked like. This one’s an earlier draft that wasn’t as successful.
I don’t really know the other type of gothic, so here’s Sara as a Goth.
She’s wearing frilly Ponyo!bloomers as a kind of short-shorts and the high-collar coat is more or less a vest. In winter, she wears cloaks with an array of “eldritch” sigils around the edge.
If you look hard enough, you can find an interrobang in there because she’s that kind of nerd. Even as a Goth.
She also loves dressing up her textbooks to look like arcane tomes.
Doodle twofer!
This is something like the costume I imagine for Sara when she goes to steampunk things.
As for the other one… well. She’s already IN high school, so I put her in a different kind of high school.
Well, since Sara is technically a superhero already - I tried to imagine what Marvel might do to her after enough time.
I can’t draw high heels :P
This is my best attempt at the snake!spine escher girl with the boobs and butt pose. Also the bo staff doubles as a substitute stripper pole.
The ‘80′s. The decade that taste forgot. The jacket is Dayglow Pink, FYI, and I was too lazy to draw the studs on the lapels.
This era Sara would fluff out her hair in the girls’ bathroom before school started and urgently wash it flat again afterwards because her mother is a tyrant.
She does her own mix tapes and has bootlegs of everything.
Day one - medaeval redesign.
Her hair is the most obvious change, since ladies just firkin grew it nonstop. It’s not the most accurate redesign as I did zero homework. And plan on doing zero homework for the remaining 16 days.
I spent all that time doing her hair and didn’t bother with her other arm. Hence the awkward firkin pose. I lose. Bleh.

Sara Louise Adrien, from my XME OC days. She was an over-tall ectomorph whom everyone mistook for a “confused” boy named Adrian Essel [Adrien, S.L.]
Of course she’s a mutant. With the power to… blend into the scenery. Her skin is a whole bunch of aqua-shaded chromataphores and she can’t change her clothes when she changes her skin. Enter - biomimetic fabric. A relic from an alien crash that has been duplicated with much effort by the military. It’s rare, so there’s not a lot of it to cover the essentials. Good thing it bonds with human skin [but not painfully so] on contact.
I created her as a deliberate subversion of pretty much most OC tropes as well as a lot of the comic tropes that I was very tired of at the time [like - lack of internal organs, toast-rack ribcages and zero gravity cantaloupe boobs.
Pretty sure her story is still up on FFN somewhere. And I think I also put some up on AO3.
Thinking out loud. Or thinking on a piece of paper.
Pondering how to use the beads I have and the findings I have to their maximum when I have just realized how little I really have.
I do, however, have loads of these weird, trilobal things that can stack and give an interesting look. If I do gradients, I could get some interesting effects.
And for all of the “faceted bullet” beads that I sorted, I have surprisingly few of one colour.
I might have to go to a bulk bead place and see what I can get. Later. After I run (mostly) out of stash.
The “Pat :P” comment is about the “snowman stack” of Large+medium+small round beads of the same colour. It’s boring. IDEK if people want that any more.
Bonus material - samples of the pride flag earrings all ready for customers.
Parent re-draws kid’s art.
First pic is of Chaos’ Gemsona, Emerald. Second is me trying to make it more “Seven Universe-y” but keeping key elements of her pose.
Chaos’ reaction? “Eh. It reads.”
It’s been a while.
I’ve been obsessed with getting things in line for my upcoming business, and that’s cut into my spoons. A lot.
That and a lurgi encounter have drained me more than you might believe.
So have a little scribble cartoon about what I’ve been up to for the intervening time.
