I do but I don’t think they are very good. I might see about getting some better ones because if I am going to keep up this pace of typing I am going to need something.

Tips for a wrist sufferer from a wrist sufferer:

  • Some bracers are meant to be slept in, like the hard bracers. DO NOT sleep in the soft/elastic bracers, they will fuck you up
  • Sometimes, your wrists just want to be warm. Invest in some arm tube things or knit your own. Your local pharmacy might carry wrist warmers. check them out
  • Glucosamine and Omega 3. You’re welcome
  • KNOW YOUR LIMITS! Pushing yourself to do a thing should be a limited experience because you know it will fuck you up. Don’t fuck yourself up. It’s bad
  • Once you have fucked yourself up [it happens] take a break from using your hands as much as you can. Speech to text programs are pretty good these days. And a sanity project that involves non-writing motions can help during the healing time
  • Ice baths or hot (not scalding) baths may help to provide temporary relief. Don’t over-do it or you can do yourself more damage
  • You will learn to love Deep Heat/athletic balm. They even come in scent-free versions.
  • Slow the fuck down. Take breaks. Stretch. Put your hands in the air and wriggle your fingers around
  • Daydreaming is nap time for your hands
  • For fuck’s sake, give yourself an upper limit. You will thank me later
