Question for the three people who actually like these: Which colouring looks better for the rabbit ears on Bunny’s mirror - the corroded ones or the new ones?

Both effects are on the picture to the right.

The one on the left merely shows how messy you have to be when using the smudge tool.

Patina!

Before and after the clean-up. I use a modified watercolour tool to scatter random patterns of colour over the base colours. I do one layer per patina colour so I don’t fuck up the previous one. Then merge them all together for the clean-up.

Tomorrow, I fart around with the detail bits.

Gee whiz, it’s G-Whiz!
From blurry, out-of-focus screen cap to artistic interpretation of same. I might just hide my sins by making him(?) tiny in the finished video. IDK. I’m sure I haven’t got it right.

Might trash in favour of grandfather clock all the same.

These were the best shots I could get of G-Whiz.

Wish me luck ‘cause I’m going in.

Inking and colouring. Of course I had to add a wood grain to Pete6’s mask, which was the biggest pain in the butt, this morning.
Still deciding what colours to use for the mirror frames. Suggestions welcome BTW.

Had to trash the sketch layers for this because this file is getting ridiculous.

Tomorrow… Vintage!Rabbit’s mirror.

I worked out how the magic arrow tool works in Procreate, and now I can do a lot of the things I was planning to do later in Photoshop. Like mirror the background.

It was also very helpful in making sure that all the embellishments on the mirrors were accurate reflections/reproductions. Such a relief. Sharp-eyed viewers can probably see where I started using the magic arrow.

Vintage!Rabbit has Bebop’s face, brass goggles, rabbit ears and clock hands for her mirror frame. Bunny has bats, spirals, bird skulls, rabbit ears and gears for hers.

Been thinking about adding suckers to the arms of the spirals, but that might have… implications. Opinions welcome there.

Does anyone even want to share their input? Does anyone care?

Working on the rectangular mirror because none of y'all are helping me out.
I still need G-Whiz references and suggestions for the embellishments on the oval mirror.

I need help.
No only do I need some decent G-Whiz references, but I also need a little help designing Bunny’s mirror. So far, I have bats for her Goth side, spirals for her art style, and the bird skulls for her Scarla alter-ego.

I was thinking of adding a crown of awesome… but I don’t know if anything I can draw would be awesome enough.

Of course I’m borrowing Pixar’s code of rectangles==history, ovoids==hope for the mirrors. Because nothing says “I love thinking about things way too much” like a little homage here and there.

Also, I re-drew all my floaty things so they wouldn’t look like a hot mess when they’re finally animated.

Any contributions gratefully appreciated.
