Challenge #02036-E212: One Question — Steemit
It’s easy to be angry at something that you don’t understand. Many chose the easy path. Screaming, yelling, or firing weapons at the unfamiliar lights in the sky. Many were hit by falling projectiles. A few died. Some called it the Reckoning, and said it was an indicator of their God’s wrath for sins real, imagined, or impossible.
Some stared, stunned, not knowing what it was they saw. And when the power went back on, and the night sky returned to its familiar black under the glare of the city lights, they went back indoors and swallowed what the media told them. Hook, line, and sinker.
But a few. A rare and precious few. Wondered. They wondered, What was that? and, How did it happen? and, Why did a power failure cause it? The news reports said it was a terrorist act, but never explained how it was done or what had been used or even what the message was besides, “A message of hate.”

Challenge #01546-D085: Proof of Concept
The concept of sound didn’t exist until roughly the 1870s, when the gramophone was invented. – @recklessprudence
[AN: Which is weird, because Aristotle linked hearing with the element of air. Source. And more than a few attempts were made to record sound. Source2 ]
“A listening engine?” Clara repeated.
“To aid the deaf, I initially thought. Something to translate the noises we make into a visual medium, and thereby aid understanding. Of course, its spelling would be atrocious, but the message should get through.” Montague tweaked his latest contraption. There was an ear trumpet, and a progression of springs, and a pencil balanced carefully against a roll of paper. “So far, I’ve been analysing the vibrations of the human voice. Watch.”
He wound the machine up and pressed a switch. Then recited, “You look wonderful, today, my dearest Clara,” into the trumpet. Things jiggled. The pencil moved as if it were possessed. It all stopped again when Montague flipped the switch the other way.

DONE!
Realistic, birdlike dino animation? But aren’t you supposed to make them stomp around heavily, roar for absolutely no reason, and move its head around like a sedated elephant? WHAT IS THIS LOVELY MADNESS??

So it looks like trans women being able to bear children is much closer than I thought
Uterus Transplants have successfully been completed (for cis women) in the last few years:
One (cis) woman has given birth so far from a transplanted uterus
A trans woman has stepped forward to be the first to attempt this proceedure
And finally, science can now grow (cis women) a vagina from their own stem cells
If the transplant people start talking to the stem cell people, this might be viable in my life time!
OH MY GOD! this makes me so happy because i know so many trans women who want to have children :) eeeeee im hoping for everyone who wants this!

Materials scientist John Rogers and his firm MC10 have developed flexible electronic circuits that stick directly to the skin like temporary tattoos and monitor the wearer’s health. The Biostamp is a thin electronic mesh that stretches with the skin and monitors temperature, hydration and strain.

yo whaaaat!!
Or use a drop of conditioner.
Yeah, this is dangerous because science.
- You have bacteria in your eyes
- These bacteria also live on your eyelashes
- When you use mascara, some bacteria travels on the brush and goes for holidays in your mascara liquid
- Once there, they breed like fuck until they get toxic
- The toxic shit stays there when it dries out.
DO NOT DO THIS, YOU COULD MAKE YOURSELF BLIND!
Also avoid spitting into your mascara bottles, as mouth bacteria plus eyes DO NOT MIX WELL.
This has been your daily dose of safety science. Bought to you by Seriously WTF Are You Thinking?
