Hugh Laurie to star as Maurice, Terry Pratchett's streetwise tomcat
Unlike the Watch show, this one actually has the blessing and involvement of the Pratchett estate, so yay!
Fun Fact: David Tennant was in a radio adaptation of the book (as one of the rats if I remember correctly), but it annoyed me as it changed the ending in a manner I felt contradicted the book (in the book Maurice is rewarded by being placed in a forever home… only for him to realise that he’s bored, leading to him leaving to start a new life of confidence trickery with a new human stooge… The radio version just had him retire to live like as a somewhat regular cat, which isn’t as fun).
