George Christensen is finally fucking off! The Queensland LNP member best known for being even more right wing than the rest of the party, going on holidays to the Philippines to stay in seedy hotels, being pro-Trump, anti-lockdown, and being a generally awful loud mouthed homophobe, has decided to no longer contest the next election. He didn’t even expect to be in politics for 3 terms and so that’s where he and I finally have an agreement on.

He’s going to continue complaining about left-wing cultural influences etc blah blah. You know… those damn lefties trying to make sure gay kids don’t get bullied in school - which offends the likes of Christensen.

The greatest downside to this is that he’ll need to find a new source of income to pay for all those flights to Manilla, where he will continue to not give a shit about the struggles of his soon to be ex-constituents.

So long. Fuck off.

So I still plan to colour this and actually add the text but it’s so fucking funny to me without it so I’m uploading this version as it is.

If the police were afraid of being falsely accused of brutality, they’d be actively demanding to be filmed at all times. But they don’t.

If the police didn’t want to be seen as a gang, they’d be demanding the repeal of all laws against victimless actions so their only focus would be on violent criminals. But they don’t.

If the police feared for their lives in every encounter with civilians, they’d do everything they could to reduce the number of encounters. For example, they’d demand the repeal of quotas, and they’d feel relieved when social workers want to take over some of those encounters. But they don’t.

If the police didn’t want to be judged as a group when one of them does something bad, they’d be actively and openly condemning the bad police officers and making sure everyone witnesses that. But they don’t.

It’s almost as if everything the police say is a lie.

“One last piece of advice. If you ever land on a planet and the human says “it’s just like home” you turn on the thrusters and leave it in the dust. Because, trust me kid, those places will kill ya.”

*I knew. I KNEW when the varieeead human had said that phrase that we should have left. I heard the warning from my brood mother, as she drew in her antennae for the last time, her legs tapping gently in the sand.

But I was curious. I had yet to go to the fabled Earth, the permits to even get to that section of space were… difficult to acquire. I wanted to know what a human considered “home-like”.*

C’tha chittered in anger as she dragged her abdomen up, her foot coming down tenderly onto the rock. She winced, then pressed down harder. It would hold. The “splint” that Carl had tied to her leg did provide support, allowing her to move without more pain.

“I’m sorry!” He said again, stripped down to a tank top and the bottom half of the Astro-mech flight suit, the top portion tied around his waist.

“I didn’t think that the plant would attack you. Most of the carnivorous plants we have back home move slowly.”

*THEY HAVE CARNIVOROUS PLANTS*

That was it. She was done. And once she got off of this planet, she was throwing EVERY Earth centric permit DIRECTLY into the nearest incinerator chute. And she would pay the fine for burning compostable items.

4.17.21. Brooklyn Center, MN

Police dispersed a protest shortly into the night, then forced all journalists to surrender and consent to photographs of their faces, credentials, and IDs. Police also arrested marked medics for being present.

A local church opened to injured protestors the night before, and dozens of police responded by surrounding the church the following day.

Police are the acting arm of fascism.

police response is similar in other cities, like LA and NY pictured here. All cops have an interest in their own power and demanding their ability to kill with impunity.

That picture of the cops surrounding the church looks like a joke. It’s not.

It’s not a joke. In fact most of those guys standing around doing absolutely nothing of value for their community are earning overtime. Which will cost their community more. For nothing of value.

When people say “Defund the Police” this is part of what they mean. Useless displays of force that only serve to brutalize their citizens and result in cities paying out millions of dollars in settlements.
